Azle Garage Floor Coating Transformation

Ace Garage Pros completed this 400 sq ft garage floor for a couple preparing to move their family into a newly constructed Azle home. Customer Goal

The homeowners had purchased a newly constructed home for their family and wanted the garage floor completed before moving in. Their goal was to replace the bare concrete with a clean, decorative floor that made the garage feel finished and ready to use from the beginning.

Starting Condition

The 400 sq ft garage had a bare concrete floor typical of new construction. The slab showed natural color variation, construction-related marks, and minor surface inconsistencies, while the surrounding walls and ceiling were already finished. Although the garage was new, the untreated concrete made the space feel incomplete compared with the rest of the home.

Preparation

  1. Cleared and inspected the 400 sq ft garage floor.
  2. Mechanically diamond-ground the concrete to create the proper surface profile for coating adhesion.
  3. Detailed the slab along the walls, corners, perimeter, and garage-door opening.
  4. Prepared the concrete around the entry door, electrical panel, water-heater area, and other fixed features.
  5. Vacuumed the floor thoroughly to remove grinding dust and loose surface debris.
  6. Protected the finished walls, doors, trim, and surrounding surfaces during the installation.

Installation

  1. Applied the base coating over the mechanically prepared concrete.
  2. Broadcast Domino decorative flake throughout the wet coating to create a consistent full-flake appearance.
  3. Applied the flooring system carefully along the walls, corners, doorway, and fixed garage features.
  4. Extended the decorative coating onto the vertical perimeter edge for a clean, continuous finish.
  5. Removed loose excess flake and refined the surface before applying the final coating.
  6. Sealed the decorative floor with a protective clear topcoat.
  7. Detailed the garage-door threshold to create a clean transition to the exterior concrete.
  8. Inspected the finished surface, perimeter, and transitions before completing the project.
