Garage Dimensions and Openings

Wall area is perimeter times height. Measured garage doors, entry doors, and windows are subtracted; ceiling area is calculated separately.

Calculator method: gross walls = 2 × (length + width) × height; paintable walls = gross walls − measured openings; ceiling = length × width. Two finish coats use the published 350–400 sq. ft./gal range. Possible one-coat primer uses 200–300 sq. ft./gal.
